The application of large-size coatings requires attention, care and good planning. As the size of the coatings increases according to the applied standard, the tolerance ranges in the criteria such as surface smoothness, edge smoothness, miter deviation increase. One-sided bonding with the carding method will be inadequate for this type of application, gaps will occur between the coating and the surface. This situation may cause problems in time.Substrate Quality: Surfaces must be clean, smooth, stable and at the same time, weak parts must be removed and damaged surfaces should be repaired with TEKNOREP. The surface must be free of oil, dirt and rust.
Surface Preparation: If the application is made on marble, ceramic and palette, the surfaces should be roughened. The concrete floor should be moist, but no puddles.
Mixing: In a clean container which is free from all kinds of sticking materials, it is taken from normal ambient temperature to 6.0 - 7.5 lt. clean, clear water. Teknofay FLEX, which is in a 25 kg bag in powder form, is emptied into the container filled with water. It is mixed with a low speed mixer with a ceramic stirrer tip until a homogenous mixture without lump is obtained. Mixing time is minimum 5 min. should be. Mortar obtained at the end of the process 3 min. 2 minutes. should be mixed until homogeneous.
